If you need to contact The Narrator, all you need to do is call out for him and he will appear in your proximity within a few moments. You don't need to worry about whether he heard you or not; he hears you.

[Would it be hypocritical to press Oswald after dodging a lot of questions thrown at him with "It's not important, I don't have to tell you"?

It totally is, but he's doing it anyway.]

Are you certain? You'd be surprised with what seemingly unimportant information could tell someone.

[An unfortunate fact about Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Like many cartoon stars of old, he too is a frickin lightweight.]

I'm pretty sure. Hang on... [He finishes his cup fairly quickly, setting it down... just in time for a hiccup. Whoops.] I just... had a dream, you know? Not the metaphorical dream about my fame, but... a normal dream.

[Yeah there's... a chance The Narrator forgot that detail when making the tea. Whoops.]

"A dream"? [That actually piques The Narrator's interest.] Did something happen in the dream?

Oh no, nothing special.

[. . . ]

I mean, I did... talk to someone in my dream. Is that weird? I think I heard somewhere that that happens sometimes.

[...] Do you have anymore tea? I'll be honest, my nerves have not been great since the trial.

[There is a thoughtful pause.]

I can give you one more cup, I suppose.

[He leaves for a couple of minutes before returning with another (also spiked) mug of tea.]

To answer your question, I would hardly call it out of the ordinary to dream of talking to someone, unless there was anything out of the ordinary about the conversation.

[He looks over at Oswald.]

There... was nothing out of the ordinary about the dream, was there?

[He hasn't changed positions since Rod left, so there's that.]

[Even still, Oswald is struck with the sound thought that he really shouldn't tell the Narrator about Walt. He promised, didn't he?]

Now, hang on, I... I don't think I should tell you. It was... kind of personal?

[I mean, technically, it's the truth.]

I suppose it is, but I have some knowledge with dreamscapes, so I can't help but be curious.

Heh, I guess you might know... "I met you once upon a dream". Or is there Sleeping Beauty in the Twilight Zone?

[His singing voice isn't bad, but he is getting pretty drunk. At the same time, he seems almost contemplative.]

I am aware of the story, but I can't say I've ever seen the movie.

You promised not to tell anybody about your dream?

[He seemed almost confused by that.]

Good. It's a good.... cartoon. Maleficent? Terrifying. S-pecially the dragon part.

[He nods, trying to put himself together enough to look proud of that.]

Yup! I promised Walt, and that's what I'm gonna do!

[The Narrator's body stiffens at the mention of Walt, and is frozen in shock for a few moments before he finally reacts.

I'm not entirely sure what Oswald expected The Narrator's reaction would be if he told him about Walt, but an expression of genuine hurt was probably not what he had in mind.]

Walt...? Are you telling me that Walt specifically told you to not let me know that he knows about all of this?

[...An expression of genuine hurt is not one that Oswald himself thought would be happening. He wasn't sure why, but he feels... sorry?]

...Y-yeah. He came to see me in a dream and told me not to tell you about it. [He brings his wavering finger to his lips.] Shush. It's a secret, okay?

[The Narrator is quietly for an uncomfortably long time, as if unsure how to even react to this information.]

[Until he finally speaks, completely stonefaced.]

That man is lying to you.

[forgottenfounder]

[Well.

Oswald has been startled, so startled that he nearly drops his cup. He's honestly speechless, and can only stare at the Narrator in stark confusion.]

[He shakes his head.]

I'm not joking, Oswald. That man you were speaking to in your dream is highly dangerous. I've seen what he's capable of.

[He... really doesn't look like he's lying.]

[forgottenfounder]

...Hang on a sec.

[It takes a moment, but Oswald actually stands up on the bed, wobbling just a little.]

You're telling me that Walt Disney would lie to me? His first son!?

[There's a barest hint of anger in his tone. Just the very thought has already struck him where it really hurts.]

Trust me, Oswald, I myself don't wan't to believe it, but I know this man could have very bad intentions for all of us.

Bad intentions? Then that would be the first time he ever had intentions for me! You know, I meet the guy for the first time in years, and you know what he says to me?!

[He sways a little, rage diminishing just for him to look down at himself in sadness.]

...He said he was sorry for everything, said he always loved me and didn't want anything to happen to me.

[Oswald frowned. Now, like every time he got a little introspective, he was looking smaller then ever.]

It's all... I've ever wanted to hear. For years.

[The Narrator is silent for a long time. Seemingly thoughtful about what Oswald has just told him, but not daring to look him in the eyes.]

It's all I wanted to hear from him too...

[His voice is just slightly shaky as he says this.]

[Oswald's expression turns shocked! Disbelieving, and confused at the same time. He couldn't believe his ears.

He too is silent for a while, before slowly, surely opening his mouth.]

If there's anything you wanna get out, I'm the king of being forgotten... literally. I've heard it all.

[He clears his throat, realizing that he got a little emotional there.]

It's all in the past. Nothing I can say would change anything at this point.

[Sullenly, he sits back on the bed.]

...You know how many times I've said that? Ortensia wouldn't want you to keep quiet about things that trouble ya.

[She's smart like that. He's so glad to have her all this time.]

[That earns a small smile out of him.]

Don't worry about me. I have my own outlets, and you already have a lot to worry about on your own time.

[He stands back up.]

Regardless, I stand by my statement that Walt is a dangerous man you're dealing with. And if he ever contacts you again, take what he says with a grain of salt.
