If you need to contact The Narrator, all you need to do is call out for him and he will appear in your proximity within a few moments. You don't need to worry about whether he heard you or not; he hears you.

Comments are screened for privacy. After all, what narrator would go around revealing everyone's secrets?

[Oswald doesn't contact the Narrator until Monday night. Odd, since they met last week much earlier. But Oswald was just hoping that he didn't think of it as odd.

Once more, he's sitting on his bed, feeling a bit more withdrawn then the last time.]

...Narrator?

[The Narrator appears almost instantly, this time he's already placing a cup of tea on Oswald's bedside table.]

It's tea. I've added some whiskey to it, but if it's not to your liking you don't have to drink it.

[In the very least, if he thought anything was weird about Oswald contacting him later in the week, he doesn't let onto it.]

[Oswald still flinches, though this time it's for different reasons. The mention of whiskey gets him a little, but he does accept the tea.]

Thanks. It's fine, I'm an adult and all. [He's a senior, to some of these people, but Toons are weird.]

...I saw the movie room. Thanks for that too.

No need to thank me for it. A movie room is fitting for a place like this anyway. It would be doing a disservice if there were no real movies in this hotel.

[He looks slightly put off guard by that question.]

[He takes a slow sip of his tea. Mmmmm.]

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I wanted to know just as much as the next guy what this zone even is.

I'm sure you'll get some answers. When you get a chance to watch some episodes, I highly recommend Walking Distance and I Sing the Body Electric.

[He moves to sit in his usual spot.]

[He's never watched human entertainment before! Should be pretty snazzy.]

...Oh yeah, I guess I should do updates. I can't say that much happened this week... well, besides the obvious. We were all just kind of reeling from the first week I guess. [A sloooow sip.] Other then that...?

Despite what some of the guest tell you, there are actually quite a lot of stories that don't end with people dying.

[He raises an eyebrow.]

I think a lot of... people here probably don't suspect much about it. Or anything.

Oh, it's... well, it's not all that special, trust me. [Another, slightly large drink from his cup? He's fine. Totally.] I really don't have to tell you.

[Would it be hypocritical to press Oswald after dodging a lot of questions thrown at him with "It's not important, I don't have to tell you"?

It totally is, but he's doing it anyway.]

Are you certain? You'd be surprised with what seemingly unimportant information could tell someone.

[An unfortunate fact about Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. Like many cartoon stars of old, he too is a frickin lightweight.]

I'm pretty sure. Hang on... [He finishes his cup fairly quickly, setting it down... just in time for a hiccup. Whoops.] I just... had a dream, you know? Not the metaphorical dream about my fame, but... a normal dream.

[Yeah there's... a chance The Narrator forgot that detail when making the tea. Whoops.]

"A dream"? [That actually piques The Narrator's interest.] Did something happen in the dream?

Oh no, nothing special.

[. . . ]

I mean, I did... talk to someone in my dream. Is that weird? I think I heard somewhere that that happens sometimes.

[...] Do you have anymore tea? I'll be honest, my nerves have not been great since the trial.

[There is a thoughtful pause.]

I can give you one more cup, I suppose.

[He leaves for a couple of minutes before returning with another (also spiked) mug of tea.]

To answer your question, I would hardly call it out of the ordinary to dream of talking to someone, unless there was anything out of the ordinary about the conversation.

[He looks over at Oswald.]

There... was nothing out of the ordinary about the dream, was there?

[He hasn't changed positions since Rod left, so there's that.]

Thanks... [hic!]

There was... er, uhm...

[Even still, Oswald is struck with the sound thought that he really shouldn't tell the Narrator about Walt. He promised, didn't he?]

Now, hang on, I... I don't think I should tell you. It was... kind of personal?

[I mean, technically, it's the truth.]

I suppose it is, but I have some knowledge with dreamscapes, so I can't help but be curious.

Heh, I guess you might know... "I met you once upon a dream". Or is there Sleeping Beauty in the Twilight Zone?

[His singing voice isn't bad, but he is getting pretty drunk. At the same time, he seems almost contemplative.]

Well... I made a promise, you know? That's important.

I am aware of the story, but I can't say I've ever seen the movie.

You promised not to tell anybody about your dream?

[He seemed almost confused by that.]

Good. It's a good.... cartoon. Maleficent? Terrifying. S-pecially the dragon part.

[He nods, trying to put himself together enough to look proud of that.]

Yup! I promised Walt, and that's what I'm gonna do!

[....oops]

[The Narrator's body stiffens at the mention of Walt, and is frozen in shock for a few moments before he finally reacts.

I'm not entirely sure what Oswald expected The Narrator's reaction would be if he told him about Walt, but an expression of genuine hurt was probably not what he had in mind.]

Walt...? Are you telling me that Walt specifically told you to not let me know that he knows about all of this?

[forgottenfounder]

[...An expression of genuine hurt is not one that Oswald himself thought would be happening. He wasn't sure why, but he feels... sorry?]

...Y-yeah. He came to see me in a dream and told me not to tell you about it. [He brings his wavering finger to his lips.] Shush. It's a secret, okay?
